Some Miracles Regarding The Quran - 7

RAIN IN MEASURED AMOUNTS Another item of details provided within the Qur'an about rain is that it is sent below to Earth in due measure. This is mentioned in Surat az-Zukhruf as follows: It is He Who sends below h2o in measured amounts from the sky by which We bring a dead land return to life. That is how you too shall be raised [from the dead]. Qur'an, 43:11 This measured quantity in rain has repeatedly been discovered by technological research. It is estimated that in one second, approximately 16 million tons of h2o evaporates from the Earth.

This figure amounts to 513 trillion tons of h2o in one year. of rain that falls on the Earth in a year. Therefore, h2o continuously circulates in a balanced cycle, according to a measure. Life on Earth depends on this h2o cycle. Even if all the available cutting edge designs within the globe structure of atom employed for this purpose, this cycle should not be reproduced artificially.

Even a minor deviation in this equilibrium should soon release rise to a primary ecological imbalance that should bring related to the end of life on Earth. Yet, it not ever happens, and rain continues to fall every year in exactly the similar to measure, just as revealed within the Qur'an. The proportion of rain does not merely apply to its quantity, but also to the velocity regarding the falling raindrops. The velocity of raindrops, regardless of their size, does not exceed a sure limit. Philipp Lenard, a German physicist who received the Nobel Prize in physics in 1905, located that the fall velocity increased with drop diameter until a volume of 4.

For larger drops, however, the fall velocity did not increase beyond 8 metres per 2nd 26 ft or sec. , Philipp Lenard: Brushing the Teardrops from Rain He attributed this to the changes in drop shape caused by the space flow as the drop volume increased. The change in shape thus increased the space resistance regarding the drop and slowed its fall rate. As shall be seen, the Qur'an shall also be drawing our attention to the subtle adjustment in rain which should not have been known 1,400 years ago. THE QUIVERING AND SWELLING OF THE EARTH And you look the earth dead and barren.

Then, when We send below h2o onto it, it quivers and swells and sprouts with luxuriant plants of every kind. Qur'an, 22:5 The Arabic phrase for quivers is ihtazzat, meaning to set in motion, return alive, quiver, move, stir; the movement and stretching of a plant. The phrase rabat, translated as swells, bears the meanings to increase, grow in number, swell, grow, develop, rise of a plant, provision, fill with air. These words describe within the greatest appropriate manner the changes that occur within the molecular structure of soil during rain. The motion described within the verse is different from the movement of Earth's crust, for example when a portion of it moves to make an earthquake, for it is only the soil particles that are moving.

These particles are composed of layers, each of that is on top regarding the other. When h2o penetrates the layers, it causes the swelling of mud particles. The stages referred to within the verse shall be scientifically explained as follows: 1. Quivering regarding the soil: The electrostatic charge on the particle surface that appears subsequent to the h2o falls on the soil in sufficient quantity should cause its instability and quivering movements. This movement is stabilized only subsequent to this charge was neutralized with an opposing one.

The soil particle's moving and quivering shall also be due to its collision with h2o particles. Since the h2o particles move in no specific direction, the soil particles move as they can be struck from all sides. Robert Brown, a Scottish botanist, discovered in 1827 that when raindrops fall on the soil, they cause a kind of shaking and vibration within the soil molecules. He described this movement of microscopic particles, which currently is known as the Brownian motion. Ford, Brownian Movement in Clarkia Pollen: A Reprise regarding the First Observations, The Microscope, 1992, vol.

Swelling regarding the soil: When it rains, those raindrops hitting the soil cause its particles to swell and increase in volume. This is due to the fact that when there is abundant water, the space between soil particles, which allows h2o particles and dissolved ions to enter, increases. When h2o and the nourishing elements dissolved in it diffuse between the layers, the volume regarding the soil particles increases. Consequently, these particles give as h2o deposits that bring the soil to life. It is due to Allah's infinite grace upon humanity that this h2o is stored in this manner without seeping downward due to the action of gravity.

If the soil should not hold h2o and these mineral deposits should not be laid below within the soil, the h2o should soak into Earth's deepest components and, due to the fact that of its resulting absence, all plants should soon die. However, our God has created the soil in such a method that different products can emerge from it. Sprouting regarding the earth: When there is enough h2o within the soil, the seeds grow to active and absorb simple nutritious material. Growing plants meet their h2o requirements for 3 to 4 months from these deposits. The above verse describes, in 3 stages, what happens when rain falls onto hard ground: the soil particles quiver, and the soil swells and then brings forth different products.

These stages, which the Qur'an revealed 1,400 years ago, are strikingly parallel to the scientific descriptions. Another verse reveals this about plants: A sign for them is the dead land that We bring to life and from which We bring forth grain, of which they eat. Qur'an, 36:33 RAINS WHICH BRING A DEAD LAND BACK TO LIFE The rain's function of bringing a dead land return to life is indicated in multiple verses regarding the Qur'an:. We send below from heaven pure h2o such that by it We can bring a dead land to life and release sip to many regarding the animals and people We created. Qur'an, 25:48-49 As well as bringing water, an essential requirement for living things, to the earth, the rain also has a fertilising property.

Drops of rain which evaporate from the sea and reach the clouds contain sure substances which revitalise dead soil. These raindrops with such revitalising properties are called surface tension droplets. These shape from the top layer regarding the surface regarding the sea, called the micro-layer by biologists; in this surface layer, fewer than one-tenth of a millimetre thick, are located large quantities of organic waste formed from the decomposition of microscopic algae and zooplanktons. Little of these wastes collect and absorb elements for example phosphorus, magnesium and potassium, which are rarely located in sea water, as well as heavy metals for example copper, zinc, cobalt and lead. Seeds and plants on the surface regarding the Earth receive large quantities regarding the mineral salts and elements they need to grow from these raindrops.

The Qur'an refers to this in these terms: And We sent below blessed h2o from the sky and created gardens grow by it and grain for harvesting. Qur'an, 50:9 These salts which descend together with the rain are examples in miniature of fertilisers traditionally used to enhance productivity calcium, magnesium, potassium etc. Heavy metals regarding the kind located in aerosols make elements which increase productivity during growth and production of plants. In short, rain is an important fertiliser. Together with the fertiliser provided by rain alone, within a hundred years, a soil of poor quality can obtain all the elements compulsory for plants.

Forests also grow and are nourished with help from these chemicals which originate from the sea. In this way, every year some 150 million tons of particles of fertiliser fall to earth. Were it not for this fertilising function, there should have been distant fewer plants on the Earth and the balance of life should have been disturbed. The details related to the revitalisation of plants within the verse is just one regarding the countless miraculous properties regarding the Qur'an.
