About Merriconeag Waldorf College - Pre-school And High School

Founded in 1984, Merriconeag Waldorf College serves some 265 students in early childhood through high school. The school's first location is in Freeport, a city on the southern coast of Maine. Merriconeag's Waldorf high college is a brief distance away, within the city of New Gloucester. As a Waldorf school, the curriculum is based on studies into child development conducted by Austrian educator and philosopher, Rudolf Steiner 1861 - 1925.
